These Grammar Box Cards are an update of the traditional version and include sentence cards and strips printed in full color, using the colors often associated with the parts of speech. Each part of speech has multiple sets of cards that serve as individual lessons. The activities isolate plural rules in nouns, examine the various categories of adjectives, clarify the appropriate use of articles, and display the function of parts of speech within the context of a sentence.

The work and the cards associated with it are specifically designed so that your students may form the sentences without the actual grammar boxes if they choose to.

This set of materials is aimed at second level students. The full continuum that leads children from concrete to abstract is as follows: 

First level students - Function of Words 
Second level students - Grammar Sentences
Third level students - Developing Writing Through Grammar
Fourth through sixth level students - Grammar Curriculum Level 9-12 (ELCD-6050 series of items)

We recommend containerizing the cards using a 60 drawer cabinet, in the following way: 

• Articles: 3 drawers with 1 activity in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Nouns: 5 drawers with 1 activity in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Adjectives: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Verbs: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Prepositions: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Adverbs: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Pronouns: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Conjunctions: 5 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
• Interjections: 3 drawers with 3 activities in each drawer with up to 2 sentences on each activity
