Mangrove Biome Food Web Elements is a digital printable Montessori ecology material designed for lower elementary students ages 6–9. This hands-on set helps children create mangrove food chains and food webs using realistic organism picture cards, directional arrows, and sun cards to show how energy moves through a coastal wetland ecosystem. Students explore producers, consumers, predators, prey, aquatic life, shore birds, decomposers, and the role of the Sun as the primary source of energy while developing a concrete understanding of interdependence in mangrove habitats. The included mangrove food web poster may be used as a control chart, giving teachers and homeschool guides a clear visual reference as students build, compare, correct, and explain their own mangrove ecosystem models.
