Part of the Ecology Level 6-9 Curriculum.
Tundra Food Web Elements is a printable Montessori ecology set for lower elementary students ages 6–9. This material gives children a concrete way to explore how life is connected in the tundra by arranging realistic picture cards of tundra plants, animals, birds, insects, fish, and decomposers with arrows that show the movement of energy. Using the sun cards as the starting point, students can build simple food chains and then expand them into larger food webs as they discover how producers, consumers, predators, prey, and decomposers depend on one another in a cold biome. The included tundra food web poster serves as a control chart, allowing teachers and homeschool guides to present the lesson clearly, support independent correction, and encourage follow-up conversations about adaptation, survival, energy flow, and ecosystem interdependence.
