This work is known throughout the Montessori training centers, teachers and schools as "The Systems Work" or "The Systems of the Phyla work". For years it has been an elusive work that teachers had to piecemeal together to introduce the concepts presented. Now, for the first time, this work is being made available through ETC Montessori.  

This work presents the concepts of:

6. Sensory

for each of the following phyla:

• Mollusks
• Echinoderms
• Arthropods
• Osteichthyes
• Amphibians
• Reptiles
• Aves (Birds), and
• Mammals

This is one of the largest works that elementary students will engage in as they explore the common characteristics these animals share. The pictures are expertly illustrated making each element clear so that students can clearly isolate the concept and understand the differences and similarities between the phyla. Each phylum is color coded making it easy to isolate and present.
