A wonderful way to move into the next level of studying world biomes, continents, and cultures. Continuing with the studies of biomes in early childhood, this set of materials incorporates different elements to enhance learning about a specific continent and its unique animal species. The picture of the South American continent serves as a visual aid to help learners identify the continent and its location on a world map. It is printed on 11" x 17" premium acrylic, in such a way that it allows for the children to write and erase with erasable markers on the front panel.
The animal figures represent the distinct species found on the continent, enabling students to learn about the physical characteristics and behaviors of these animals, while investigating specific biomes. The animals have been carefully chosen to include a carnivore, and herbivore, while at the same time allowing the child to create a food web. A bird is included in each set.
The three figures of animals found in the kit of the continent of South America are as follows:
- Harpy Eagle
- Black Jaguar
- Two Toed Sloth
Finally, the research material provides additional information about the continent, its geography, the countries, culture, and ecology, allowing children to gain a deeper understanding of the South American continent's significance and diversity.
Each animal has been carefully chosen for accuracy and size to avoid any possibility of choking hazards. Items meet the standards and are tested in accordance with the cpsc.gov requirements using a choking tube.
