The multi-base mat allows teachers to perform operations, addition, subtraction, and single digit multiplication using a base system other than the usual base 10. It contains the base and exponent notations on it making it ideal for children to make the association that a shape corresponds to a number. This mat is intended to be used with the Montessori cubing material and the colored rods. Upper elementary advanced math task cards contain cards that may be used with this mat.

Printed on the same materials that our timelines are made of this chart rolls up easily, uncurls and does not require lamination.
