Elementary 6-12

The elementary child in the second plane of development moves from sensorial input towards abstraction

Children in the 6-9 classroom build on their early childhood experiences, delve into more complex, and more integrate subject matter. It is during their time in the elementary classroom that children are introduced and encouraged to explore cosmic education and their place in the world.

Children between the ages of 9 and 12 move towards abstraction and begin to explore the social and moral intricacies of society through history, geography, and science. This is a period of strong social interaction in which the child’s moral compass has advanced beyond the simple idea of fairness, to a desire to not only comprehend why humans act and react as they do, but to discover ways of solving societal problems.
