This innovative curriculum was designed specifically for lower elementary Montessori students. Special attention was given to integrate diverse subject matter while at the same time meeting national standards.
Our goal was to create and all-encompassing approach, so that students can gain a better understanding of climate and weather and how each affects the other.
Beautifully illustrated the approach links weather, climate, functional geography (impressionistic charts), ecology, and history into a well organized unit that explores cross-cutting concepts that allow children to investigate cause and effect, structure and function and change.
Each concept integrates STEM projects that emphasize and contextualize essential science and engineering practices.
